The Phoenix area is booming recently due to cheap real estate, an indulgent restaurant scene, and thriving, unique city culture. Residents are migrating to Phoenix from cities all over the country, such as New York, Chicago, Seattle, and Los Angeles. Because of this, Phoenix has seen a surge in fresh local talent, which can be appealing to employers. In fact, more companies are branching out to Phoenix. Take a look at some of the companies that have taken a leap to open a location in Phoenix, Arizona.

  • Tuft & Needle: You’ve probably heard of Tuft & Needle by now. They’re an innovative mattress company with two locations in Arizona and a third in San Francisco. Tuft & Needle’s move to Arizona is significant because they made a specific, calculated decision to move their company from Silicon Valley into the blooming scene of downtown Phoenix. They had faith in Phoenix that it could provide what they needed to support their unique company. With a location in Phoenix and one in Scottsdale, it’s safe to say Arizona has not let them down.
  • IVIO: IVIO Agency is a small Phoenix digital marketing agency doing big things in their community. Although they originally set up shop in Phoenix instead of relocating an established business, they’re still making big waves and are important to note. They are able to add Phoenix flair to all of their clients’ projects. They have done work for companies all over America like Hi-Health, Penington Painting, Fetch! Pet Care, and even a new master-planned community, Sky Crossing Phoenix. Sky Crossing is a development with Pulte and Taylor Morrison Homes, so IVIO Agency will definitely be able to add to the Phoenix housing market with this project.

  • Uber: Uber is a well-known national chain. Despite their size, they still found it important to have a few offices in Arizona. With an office in Tempe and Phoenix, Uber recognizes the flourishing market Phoenix has. Instead of just having drivers in the area, Uber sought out to really plant their feet in Arizona soil, opening the doors for Phoenicians to obtain an Uber job in engineering, business, sales, marketing, and almost anything else.
  • Atmosphere: Atmosphere is a commercial interior company with a showroom in downtown Phoenix. With locations in three other states, they bring different cultures to the commercial interiors of the Phoenix area. By bringing their offices from states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois to the desert, they really took a leap of faith. They saw the blossoming market in Phoenix.
  • Shutterfly: Another company giant bringing big business to Arizona is Shutterfly. The company recently opened a huge facility in Tempe (just on the border of Phoenix) that brought hundreds of jobs to the area. Shutterfly only has 10 physical locations, and Tempe is lucky enough to be one of them.

These are just a handful of the businesses that have expanded to the Phoenix area. Bringing their offices to Phoenix has not only expanded the market and breadth of culture but has also added greatly to the job market. With all the business additions, Phoenix is sure to be much more than the 5th largest city in the U.S. soon.
