Is there a more exciting destination than Las Vegas? We don’t think so. This, after all, is a city that has entertainment running through its veins; indeed, pleasing the crowds is the whole reason why the city was created in the first place! As visitors in Las Vegas, you’re really in Vegas. It’s a fantastic, fantasy-like retreat from the mania of the real world that draws millions of people each year.
While you can just turn up to Las Vegas and have a great time, first-time visitors will find it’s better to know a thing or two in advance. In this blog, we’ll run through some essential tips that’ll help you to get the most from your trip.
When To Go
Visitors can visit Las Vegas all year round, but some periods in the year are considered better than others. The best time to visit is from March to May and from September to November. This is when temperatures are more agreeable. In July and August, it can be pretty sweltering — though you can offset the heat by staying in the cool of the air conditioner unit; they’re everywhere in Vegas. Big holidays, such as Christmas, New Year, and Valentine’s Day, are also fun times to visit the city.
Where To Stay
If you’re a first-time visitor, you should stay on the Strip since that’s where you’ll spend the majority of your time. Las Vegas is deceptively large and, if you’re too far away from the action, you’ll end up spending more time than necessary moving from one point to the next. Of course, the Strip is also larger than people imagine; it’s four miles long! For convenience, stay somewhere near the middle. That way, you’ll be right in the thick of the action.
No matter what drew you to Las Vegas, you’ll find it hard to ignore all the world-famous casinos that Sin City has to offer. They are, after all, some of the best in the world, and no matter what your level of experience is, you’ll surely end up spending some time at a table, trying to win big. And you’ll find it much easier to achieve that goal if you know what you’re doing. Before your trip, spend some time honing your skills on an online casino, or you can even take lessons to give yourself an additional advantage.
Which Shows to See
As the entertainment capital of the world, you better believe that Vegas has some outstanding shows! Even if you’re not generally a “show person,” you’ll want to book yourself tickets to see at least something. But what? There’s magic, dancing, music, and more to choose from. If you’re unsure and simply want to see something that’s spellbinding, book tickets to the “O” Cirque du Soleil show, which takes place at the iconic Bellagio hotel. It’ll be an experience that you’re unlikely to forget anytime soon!
Trips Out of The City
The city provides a lot, but if you’re staying for more than five days, you should look at taking a trip out of the city. Not because you’ll be bored, but because it can be a little overwhelming. Thankfully, there are some majestic places to explore in the area around the city. Top of your list should be the Grand Canyon, which is only around a 2.5-hour drive from Sin City. Red Rock Canyon is also beautiful and even closer, being just a 25-minute drive from the city. There’s nothing like being out in nature and then returning to all the fun of the city, especially if you return when the whole city is lit up. A guaranteed good time!
