A Last Chance Look At the JBL Xtreme Before the JBL Xtreme2 Is Released

When one initially looks at the JBL Xtreme, they may be somewhat turned off by it’s somewhat wide and big size for a portable stereo. However, aesthetic aside, the JBL Xtreme is really one of the best stereos out there in the market right now.

In this quick, yet informative review, we will outline the pros and cons of the JBL Xtreme so that you may better decide if this is the transportable stereo for you.

Here is our JBL Xtreme Review

The JBL Xtreme was first released back in 2015 and has since then become one of the go-to transportable stereos for many. The JBL Xtreme offers a plethora of features that can amplify any audio experience.

The Pros of the JBL Xtreme

  • The JBL Xtreme works via a wireless Bluetooth streaming which can be connected to up to 3 smartphones or tablets.
  • The JBL has a built-in rechargeable battery.
  • Perhaps one of the best features of this speaker really shines in how long it can play for.
  • The JBL Xtreme is waterproof as well so no need to fear taking it to the poolside while you are on your vacation away.
  • The JBL Stream also allows for you to make crystal clear phone calls and all with the touch of a button.

The small size of the JBL Xtreme does offer quite a bit of weight to it. However, the weight is barely noticeable. And for a transportable stereo which gives ambient amounts of audio the weight and the size really become less of an issue.

Connects to other JBL Devices

Yet another advantage of purchasing the JBL Xtreme comes from the fact that it can connect with the JBL Bar 5.1 and the JBL E25BT in-ear wireless headphones.

The Cons Of the JBL Xtreme

The only complaint that we really have is that the Bass is a little heavy on its feet. But outside of this there really is very little to complain about.

The Verdict

The JBL Xtreme is an excellent wireless stereo that can really take your audio experience to the next level.

  • The JBL Xtreme provides an abundant amount of audio as well as allows for so many other features that you just cannot find with another device.
  • The JBL has a Built-in rechargeable li-ion battery supports up to 15 hours of playtime and charges devices via dual USB ports
  • The JBL Xtreme also allows you to take crystal clear calls from your speaker with the touch of a button thanks to the noise and Echo canceling speakerphone
  • Splashproof means no more worrying about rain or spills; you can even clean it with running tap water. Just don’t submerge it

The JBL Xtreme is offering so much and all at a very reasonable price of $199.99. We expect the price to be reduced sometime this Spring when JBL releases the JBL Xtreme2.
