5 of the classiest casinos across the globe

There are many online casinos out there, and they are all an excellent option for those who want to play casually, without leaving home. However, they are not able to provide us with the same feel as the casinos out in the real world, and they are certainly not able to transmit the same feeling of class and luxury as the below-listed classiest casinos across the globe.

The Venetian (Macao)

Sure, it is convenient to go online for your casino experience. It’s an easy and quick task to, for example, visit the Best NJ online casino and slouch down on the couch. However, for a gentleman, that isn’t always enough. Sometimes you need to suit up and feel the luxury of a real casino.

The Venetian Macao, modeled after its Las Vegas counterpart, is not only one of the most expensive casinos in the world but also one of the classiest. The casino cost approximately 3 billion USD to build, and both the casino’s exterior and the interior feels exceptionally luxurious.

There is no strict dress code for entering The Venitian in Macao, beyond the classic standards of not wearing shorts (although you may get away with that as well nowadays) or flip-flops. On some occasions, you can be refused to wear hats and sunglasses on the casino floor.

Sun City Resort (South Africa)

In South Africa (about two hours outside of Johannesburg), Sun City is both a classy and unusual casino. The resort is structured to showcase the beauty of South Africa, and one of the hotels, Palace of the Lost City, is inspired by the myth of a lost African kingdom. The architecture of the hotel is nothing but stunningly beautiful.

Apart from the casino, you also have access to lush gardens, pools, a golf course, and a beautiful beach cove, at the resort.

Although there’s no official dress code for the resort, large parts of the beautiful resort have a formal setting, and many of the guests dress accordingly. For the casinos and restaurants, your safest bet would be to dress smart-casual or semi-formal.

Casino Baden (Austria)

As with Sun City and The Palace of the Lost City, Austrian Casino Baden is included partly because of its gorgeous exterior. The casino is located in a historic building, established by Emperor Franz I in the 1880s.

At Casino Baden, you will be asked to “match the casino’s elegant frame,”; meaning no open shoes, sneakers, hoodies, printed t-shirts, etc. You are expected to present yourself with an overall well-groomed appearance.

The Baden-Baden Casino (Germany)

From Baden, Austria, to Baden-Baden, Germany—The Baden-Baden Casino in Germany is located on the outskirts of the famous Black Forest. The casino’s history traces back to the early 19th century, and it is primarily decorated and modeled after traditional French palaces.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky, one of history’s most influential authors, famously visited the casino, and his classic novel, The Gambler, is partly inspired by his stay there. The casino was also called “the most beautiful casino in the world” by the German-American actress, singer, and style-icon, Marlene Diedrichs. The chandeliers, the location, the history: everything about this place is the epitome of class.

The casino requires all male guests to wear a jacket (preferably with a shirt and tie).

Casino de Monte-Carlo (Monaco)

The Monte Carlo Casino is known around the world for its glamour and abundance of luxury. As with the Baden-Baden Casino, Casino de Monte-Carlo has a history going back to the first half of the 19th century.

The high rollers of the world continuously visit the elegant casino by the Mediterranean Sea. It is the go to-casino for movie productions wanting to depict the highest standard of class. The royal family partly owns the casino in Monaco, which literally can’t get more classy than that.

There’s no official dress code for the casino, but you are expected to show up in proper attire. Many of the private rooms have stricter rules.

Classiest casinos cross the globe

Although it isn’t a requirement for all of the casinos mentioned above, you should put on your best jacket if you want to feel at home on their casino floors. These luxurious and, on some occasions, historic places deserve to be visited only by the truest of gentlemen.
