After the impressive International 2019 tournament and its $34 million prize pool, it goes without saying that anyone who has ever heard about Dota 2 is curious in terms of the future, so to speak!
For those that are new to Dota 2, it is a multiplayer battle game. The first in the series was Defense of the Ancients. Dota 2 is a match play style game between two teams of five players. Each team occupies and defends their base on the map, similar to capture the flag. All ten players independently control their own unique character; their character is known as a “hero,” each has unique abilities and differing styles of play. During play, each character collects experience points and items for their heroes to successfully defeat their opponent’s team’s heroes in player versus player combat. Destroy your opponents “Ancient,” which is a large structure located within their base and you win the match.
