How To Perfect Your Grooming Routine
Personal grooming is essential for us men. Girls can improve their looks with their cosmetics, but us guys are stuck with what we have been given! That’s why we have to spend so much time perfecting our grooming routine. This includes the hair on your head, face and body! Here are a few things you should consider.
Choose A Facial Hair Style That Suits Your Face.
You shouldn’t just choose a facial hair shape that you like on somebody else, you need to base your decision on what will suit your own face. You can find plenty of guides on the internet to help you with this. It might be worth consulting with a professional and get their opinion before you make a definite decision. There would be nothing worse than trying to grow out a badly shaped beard.
Get The Right Equipment.
Before you start hacking away at the hair so close to your delicate skin, you need to spend a bit of money on the right equipment. One razor isn’t going to do the job properly. As well as a razor, you should also have a pair of tweezers, and a small pair of scissors. It’s also very important for it not to be blunt! Get a shaving subscription if you’re forgetful (or lazy!).
Groom Everywhere!
The majority of men will make an effort with their facial hair and their hair on the top of their head. However, it’s just as important to remember other areas that grow hair, like your nose and ears! Excessive hair in these areas is very off-putting for ladies. Make sure to sort these areas out too. Mono-brows aren’t a brilliant look either. In this area, be sure to avoid using your razor, and get out your tweezers instead.
Remember Your Body Hair.
Decide what to do with your body hair. You may want to leave it as it is, which is perfectly fine, or you might want to shave certain areas. A lot of men like to get rid of their back hair. It’s virtually impossible to do this yourself, so why not treat yourself to a wax. It’ll do the job for you and last a while.
Don’t Be Scared Of Being Metro-sexual.
Metro-sexual is very attractive to most women! Don’t worry that if you pluck your nose hair you aren’t going to look manly. There is no shame in taking care of yourself. Besides, you can still get that rugged look by grooming yourself.
Moisturize Afterwards.
It’s no good taking such care over your facial hair if you aren’t going to look after you skin afterwards. Be sure to use a moisturizer to stop your skin drying out, and flaking into your perfectly shaped facial hair. Also, be sure to use after shave balm.
Personal grooming is important for any man, young or old, and sadly getting it right isn’t as straightforward as we’d like it to be! Follow these few tips, and you’ll be on the right track. Got any more pointers? Let me know in a comment!
