Wine and Sprit Review Episode 7 (Keel and Curley Winery)

Keel and Curley Winery

Topic: Keel and Curley Winery

Suppose you find yourself in southwest FL. I would highly recommend you make a trip to Plant City to visit Keel and Curley Winery, which is always more fun than reading reviews on sites like bestwineclub.com. This is not your average winery, which opened in 2003. They have an amazing deck with live music for you and your family to enjoy. And don’t forget to bring your furry family member. What makes this winery different? They specialize in blueberry wines, but they did not stop there. They also have amazing cider and beer. Their blueberry wine has the perfect sweetness to compliment the blueberries. If you don’t like blueberries, don’t worry, they have seven different types of wine to pick from. My favorite is their peach wine and their blackberry cider(when it is in season). Don’t forget to take a tour and learn how they make their amazing spirits. I know once you have been there once you will want to go back. If you don’t live nearby, don’t worry; join their wine club to have it delivered to your door.

Keel and Curley Winery

I love the ambiance and service at Keel and Curley Winery, but what would all that be without great wine. Where else can you get all these exquisite wines like Wild Berry Pinot NoirStrawberry RieslingKey West – Key LimeSangriaBlack Raspberry Merlot, to name a few. This does not include all the wonderful ciders and other delicious wines and beers.

The Blueberry wine is made from 100% blueberries; no grapes are used. They crush and ferment this wine on the skins to extract the blueberry tannins. They then bottle the fresh wine young and crisp, which leaves no oxidation, keeping the wine fruity and fresh with low sulfites. This wine is sweet with a full Blueberry flavor. One would like this wine to be too sweet, but the body and acidity level matches perfection to balance the sweetness and still taste smooth and crisp. There are too many wines to give you a thorough review of each, so you will need to visit or order your bottles to see for yourself how great these wines are.
