How I Took My Samuel Hubbard Shoes to Budapest
My pair of Samuel Hubbard shoes lined with comfortable leather linings waited for me my rented AirBNB apartment just in time to walk, bike, and drink my way around the warmer spring weather of Budapest, Hungary. Just as advertised, opening the box and lacing up my pair of Samuel Hubbard shoes felt like following a tradition with historic packaging that made me feel as if I were joining a new family.

I chose this pair of shoes because of the versatility. They are designed for walking around city’s and dressy enough to wear out at night–an ideal shoe to travel with. I know this because I comfortably climbed to the top of one of Budapest’s famous church’s overlooking the city and partied with them in the famous ruin bars at night.

The Technical Details

The Samuel Hubbard Free shoes use soft upper leathers, glove-leather linings, Vibram soles, and the memory-foam cushioned insoles.

The one-piece vamp (front part of the shoe) means there are no seams in the critical points of contact with your feet.

The ankle area is designed with ‘a hidden padded collar’. This creates a very soft point of contact with the ankle without the bulky padding look of a running shoe.
