Milan Fashion Week always brings out the big names, but this year at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show, two big names made a statement. However, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancee, journalist Lauren Sanchez, were there for more than the fashion.
The couple came out in support of Sanchez’s son, who made his debut on the runway. Everyone looked fabulous, and Dolce & Gabbana put on an amazing show.
A Look at the Runway
Held in Milan, Fashion Week is something the stylish covet. It is where the big players showcase their upcoming lines. It is a time to really express what a brand is doing and to see where trends for the season will go.
On the Dolce & Gabbana runway, the theme was simple and polished. The presentation began with carefully chosen invitations printed on black card stock, with the word “sleek” being the only embellishment. It was a clear indication of what guests could expect.
Domenico Dolce explained the men’s collection was about elegance and tailoring. In short, perfection was the word of the day, with jackets, tuxedos, coats, and even denim highlighting the expert tailoring made with care to fit perfectly on the models.
The show was a chic representation of the brand’s traditional styling. It had modern touches, such as the use of satin and flowers. Some jackets had bow closures, and there were a couple of sheer shirts in the mix.
While the majority of the looks were in all black or gray with some white accents, there were also jeans and a long, brown fur coat. Three of the Dolce & Gabbana collection looks were in cream to add a bit of lightness. Some looks were rather casual, but the overall mood was still Dolce & Gabbana’s trademark style of put-together and sophisticated.
The Birth of a Model
For Bezos and Sanchez, the highlight of the day was, of course, Sanchez’s 22-year-old son, Nikko Gonzalez. This was his first time out in a runway show. Making a debut in a Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week is a huge accomplishment.
He had a buzz cut and stepped out wearing a perfect-fitting black suit with a matching v-neck shirt and a gold floral brooch. His mother shone with pride from the crowd as she watched his smooth gait move up and down the runway. Afterward, she couldn’t contain her excitement, posting all about the job well done by her son on social media.
The Star Couple
While Gonzalez’s walk for Dolce & Gabbana caused a stir, Bezos and Sanchez also turned heads. The stunning and fashionable couple looked like they could have been part of the show.
Bezos wore an all black ensemble and wore dark glasses. Sanchez wowed in a black mini skirt with tights and heels worn with a low neckline black shirt covered with a white collared button up. She also donned black shades. They looked every inch the power couple they are.
Fashion Week is always the talk of the industry, but the addition of Bezos and Sanchez really stirred things up. Thankfully, Gonzalez got had no trouble shining and showing off amazing creations from Dolce & Gabbana.
