Coating CBD on you Feet: Why Would Celebs do This

Cannabidiol, or CBD, oil has a variety of uses ranging from chronic pain management to anxiety treatment, easing drug withdrawals, promoting better sleep, and more. While CBD is a cannabinoid, it does not produce any sort of “high” or psychoactive effects like THC. CBD has been a popular topic in medical news for years now, but it’s recently been getting the celebrity treatment by Coating CBD on you Feet.

Many celebrities are using CBD oil on their feet when they step onto the red carpet. The oil provides great relief from aching feet, particularly those in heels. CBD oil is also great for joint pain, stress, sleep problems, and other common issues faced by celebrities. They aren’t shy about talking about it either. Plenty of celebrities celebrate CBD for how it helps them, their colleagues, and their fans. The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research has a feature on the benefits of CBD and other cannabinoids for Parkinson’s patients. With such endorsements, it’s hard not to be curious about the growing popularity of CBD.

What does CBD do?

CBD is derived directly from hemp plants and is the second most common ingredient in cannabis after THC. As previously stated, CBD on its own does not produce any changes in the state of mind or any sort of “high.” Thus far, there is no evidence to suggest that CBD produces any sort of dependence, nor does it have the potential for abuse.

CBD essentially helps to activate or hinder compounds in the body’s own endocannabinoid system (ECS). The body naturally produces some cannabinoids on its own which can affect sleep, pain regulation, and immune system responses.

How is it used?

CBD products come in a wide variety and can be consumed in many different methods. CBD can be rubbed on the skin as a cream, or it can be ingested and even vaped. The preferable method of taking CBD will vary based on a person’s goals, and even then, each person can react differently to the oil. It can seem overwhelming at first, but there are guides out there to help people discover the product that best suits their needs. For example, The CBD Insider offers an in-depth select CBD review for each of Select CBD’s popular products.

CBD methods

When used topically, CBD is noted to ease the pain of sore muscles as well as reduce inflammation, which explains its popularity on the red carpet. It has also been tested and used as a treatment for arthritis patients, although further testing is needed to determine the consistency of its effectiveness. Topical absorption is considered most effective for managing pain in a specific area.

CBD can be ingested and can be included in edibles sold in stores or added to food or drink separately. When taken with food, CBD must be digested before entering the bloodstream. It can also be taken as a tincture under the tongue, and in this case, one can expect faster effects. Ingestion typically produces the longest lasting effects as well.

For those inclined CBD can be inhaled with a vape. While much more obvious than the other methods, the popularity of vaping in general may make this a non-issue. CBD is absorbed through the lungs quickly, so this method has the fastest activation. The effects of this method are shorter than others, however.

CBD’s glamorous future

CBD was a widely used product even before getting its time in the spotlight with celebrities, but it’s safe to say that the added attention bodes well for future products. In fact, the CBD business is projected to grow to $22 billion by 2022. If its popularity continues to spread, it may become a staple for body care in the majority of homes.
