Travelers will be best served looking toward curated lists of accommodations for their next trip. A curated list of hotels from a trusted source will keep you comfortable and in interesting places during your travels. One of these curated lists for travelers staying in the United States come from Historic Hotels of America.
Sterile hotels lacking in character can easily be avoided whether you travel for business or fun as you can see from the variety of hotels shown in the video.
One of these hotels The Aspiring Gentleman Team personally visited is The National Hotel in Miami Beach. This hotel is one of the many with more pizazz and history.
A pop art takeover by @elisabettafantone at the @nationalhotelmiami. But what you don’t see on the opposite side of the mural is Miami Beach’s longest infinity-edge pool beside iconic historical art deco running strong since 1939. #artofinstagram #artnerd #artdeco #artoftheday #ArtBasel #modernart #luxuryhotel #popart #miamibeach #artbaselmiami #southbeach #pureflorida #historichotelsofamerica #historichotel
The National Hotel is oozing with style and so are many of the 300+ member hotels of the Historic Hotels of America. These are mostly independently owned and operated hotels associated with over thirty hospitality brands, chains, and collections making it easy to book if you are a member of any hotel programs like Hilton for instance. According to the organization,
“a hotel must be at least 50 years old; has been designated by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior as a National Historic Landmark or listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places; and recognized as having historic significance.”
The Historic Hotels of America and National Hotel hosted Aspiring Gentleman for an informational session over lunch. All opinions above are our own.
