Upgrading your spring wardrobe for the warmer season and the current trends doesn’t mean having to let go or buy too many clothes.

After all, if you are like me who just isn’t keen on shopping at all, you might even just get by through spring and summer with the same clothes year round. Let’s be honest though, life is all about presentation. If you want to make an impression at work or in social gatherings, you need to spruce up your outfits.

So what do you do if you’re just not interested to do too much shopping but want to look good? I suggest upgrading your wardrobe with a few key pieces that would make you look trendy but won’t break the bank and take too much of your time.

1. Linen Tie

Yes, I said linen. Linen can look very professional, surprisingly! When the temperature starts to hike up, you want to keep everything on you light. A linen tie completes your work attire with a breezy look.

2. A Spring Suit

A cotton blend suit allows the fabric to stretch a little. Get it in a lighter shade, and rock the jacket with jeans or with a pique polo. Sun is out, so color is fine. Try light greys and blues, and match it with a white shirt. Effortless and comfy.  It makes a statement for you to have a suit that meets the fine line between casual and professional. This is a must have in your wardrobe this season.

3. Comfort Shoes

You can leave the bulky mud shoes at home. It is spring which means you can go for lighter shoes that are more stylish but still have with rubber soles on them.  Find one that you can take from day to night. We love these ones from Andrew Marc. They are the perfect colors and style for the season. Since the weather is warmer, your feet have to be in a pair that is both actually cool and looks cool.

4. Spring Wardrobe Shorts

For days out of the office, ever man needs a pair of shorts. You already obviously have a few, but I am not talking about that cargo pair that you’ve had since high school. I’m talking about a more stylish pair, one that would look good with both a smarter shirt and your Metallica shirt. Unfortunately for all the shorts in your closet, big, baggy shorts are out. For spring, the hem seems to sit 3 to 5 inches above the knee. Too much leg than what you’re comfortable with? Just go ahead and keep looking for one that fits well and doesn’t make you feel weird.

5. Sunglasses

Apart from protecting your eyes from some serious UV rays, it makes you look pretty cool. Men and women both love sunglasses and they are the main accessory on everyone this season, so get with it.
