Optoma NuForce NE800M Earphones: Quality Audio in an Elegant Package

Right after removing the Optoma NuForce NE800M Earphones from their packaging, I found myself impressed by the style and beauty of the earpieces. This is a sophisticated looking piece of electronics, I must say. But one doesn’t typically purchase earphones for their visual style. What I wanted to know was, what kind of auditory experience would I get from these earphones?

The Sound

Let me tell you that I have no issues with the quality of the sound that the earphones deliver. I found the bass audio quite satisfying, in accordance with the NE800M’s specialized acoustic design. The earpieces are equipped with Brilliance™ UWB (ultra-wideband) 8.6mm driver technology that incorporates titanium-coated diaphragms. Audio is delivered through two acoustic chambers that make use of aperiodic bass loading, a technique that reduces inner ear pressure sensations by dampening micro-dynamic vibrations.

The result is a strong bass sound that is not too intense or overpowering. Higher frequencies are also well-rendered. Music comes across as full and melodious—much better than the tinny audio you get from many earphones. External noise is isolated to an excellent degree, ensuring a truly enjoyable listening experience.

Comfort

One of my concerns with regards to earphones is listener fatigue. Extensive time spent listening to music on earphones often leads to feelings of unpleasantness—at least, that has been my personal experience. The NE800M earphones have proven to be supremely comfortable. They provide a listening experience that can easily be sustained over a lengthy period.

Build

The NE800M has earbuds made out of silicone. The package comes supplied with multiple pairs of earbuds in a range of sizes, to help you find those with the right fit for you. The earbuds are snug and secure, which helps keep ambient noise infiltration to a minimum. The earphones are slightly heavier than you may be used to, but I didn’t find that to be an issue.

My Verdict

All in all, the Optoma NuForce NE800M Earphones are a quality product and a good buy for the discerning audiophile.
