This year 2017 should be hotter than ever for British sports. So grab your snacks and your remotes, go and make some bets on a Top UK free bets site, and settle in. Here are some of the highlights to watch out for from June through September of 2017:
Wimbledon is a classic and this year it promises to deliver as much as ever or more. The lawn tennis championship will be on from July 3rd through July 16th this year, and it simply can not be missed. Players to watch out for are Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Milos Raonic, and Nick Kyrgios on the men’s side. On the women we are looking at the unstoppable Serena Williams (some of the best odds ever at 6/4), Angelique Kerber, Garbine Muguruza, Karolina Pliskova, and Maria Sharapova. Despite Serena being the usual heavy favorite, competition looks like it’s going to be very intense this year, and there should be no shortage of excitement to go around for players and viewers alike.
This year, the Challenge Cup Final will take place on August 26th in the famed Wembley stadium. Smart money this year is on Wigan, Warren, Castleford and Hull, just about in that order. Of course, an underdog could always take it. Do you have the courage to back one this year?
Football (American version):
One of the major highlights of this season should definitely be the NFL International Series Game, held as it always is in Wembley Stadium. The big games here (already sold out unfortunately) are the Baltimore Ravens vs the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints vs the Miami Dolphins, both to be held on September 24th. Pick a winner if you dare.
June 20th through 24th will see again this year the famed Royal Ascot. Order Of St. George is favored to win the ascot gold cup, and the favorite for the Commonwealth Gold cup this year is Caravaggio. All in all, it should be a very interesting race. Horse racing is of course famous for surprise upsets and unforeseen plot twists. We will be watching this one holding our breath the whole way, to be sure.
