Villa Azur Celebrates 7 years as “Miami beach’s original dinner Party”

It’s a Celebration

Tucked away on a quiet side street is a slice of the South of France. Villa Azur celebrated 7 years as the reigning champion of the Thursday night dinner party and things have never been hotter. To commemorate their 7 years of success, Villa Azur had added nine new dishes to their French-inspired menu.

Villa Azur blends the best in music, delectable food, and world-class entertainment. The vibe is youthful, refined, with just enough swagger to make you feel like a cool kid. The interior is reminiscent of the French Villa that you have saved in your Air BnB favorites.

Villa Azur’s original Thursday dinner party has beautiful people, good vibes, and an energy that can only be found on Miami Beach. From the moment you step in the door, you are surrounded by the warmth of the staff and it’s not long before the people watching begins. This is definitely the kind of place to see and be seen.

Cauliflower Crab Cake

Getting the party started

As soon as we were seated we were offered a Bulleit rye cocktail to awaken our palates.  The cocktail was well balanced, smooth and set the tone for the rest of our meal.  Our starters were served family style and everyone had their eyes on something different.  Every single appetizer I tried was wonderful but the cauliflower crab cake and grilled octopus stood out.

Grilled Octopus

The measure of a restaurant

As I mentioned earlier the standard by which I judge everything restaurant is how well they do grilled octopus. Octopus is a dish best done simply but it’s not a simple dish to do well. Most places overcook it and you’re left with a rubbery mess. Villa Azur has perfected grilled octopus. It was tender, flavorful, and had just the right amount of char.

Patas a la meule
Scallops a la Plancha

The Main Event

I love scallops and cheese wheels. I dream about them and would eat them at least three days a week if Miami didn’t require a year-round beach body. Villa Azur’s Scallops a la Plancha and Pates a la Meule were magical. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the cheese to cream ratio in the pasta was heavenly.

A sweet Finale

I have the worst sweet tooth and no matter how much I eat I always manage to save room for dessert. Our dessert platter came with all Villa Azur’s offerings and it was adorned with sparklers. The lemon Curd was the highlight of the dessert platter. The meringue was perfectly done and the citrus of the lemon balanced out the overall sweetness.

Villa Azur is a must see/do for proper night on the town in Miami.  The food is perfection and being able to have dinner with the ambiance of a club is a unique experience. On “Villa Azur for Her” Monday’s ladies get 50% off their food and drinks. Wine lovers Tuesday offers 50% all bottle of wine valued under $400. They also have a happy hour which takes 30% off all cocktails (except Thursdays).

The Aspiring Gentleman was hosted by Villa Azur. All opinions are my own.
