Pride 2018 – A Look At A Few of Aspiring Gentleman’s Favorite Moments

Gentleman’s Favorite Moments

At Aspiring Gentleman, we celebrate all gentleman (and ladies!) all year round. But, because this year’s Pride month came to a close last weekend, we wanted to take a moment to commemorate the LGBTQ community, spotlighting some of the amazing individuals and brands who used their voices to promote inclusiveness, authenticity and kindness across the country. Breakout country music artist, Brandon Stansell, Queer Eye star Bobby Berk, pop-superstar Taylor Swift and Tipsy Elves clothing company are just a few of so many examples of both people and companies encouraging love, compassion and acceptance. Check out a few of our favorite moments from LGBTQ Pride month below!

Brandon Stansell had a powerful Love & Acceptance performance

Brandon Stansell is a talented singer/songwriter with an empowering voice, as he represents the LGBTQ community in the country music genre. Brandon exudes grace and truth as he lives an authentic lifestyle, and he encourages fans to stay true to yourself as well as love those around you. The California country artist recently stole the show with his performance at GLAAD and CMT’s Concert for Love & Acceptance on June 7.

You can check out Brandon’s latest single, “Slow Down,” in which he performs with a fellow member of the LGBTQ community, Ty Herndon, on spotify.. In addition to his killer pride performance, Brandon just announced that star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Eureka Ohara, is teaming up with Brandon to star in the music video for his next single, “For You,” coming out July 12.

Bobby Berk added wedding officiator to his list of skills

When he wasn’t transforming the homes (and lives) on the latest season of the popular series, Queer Eye, the Netflix star officiated multiple same sex weddings to kick off Pride celebrations in NYC. The Fab 5 member helped three couples fulfill their dreams of getting married by teaming up with Lyft to host the ceremonies on a beautiful float during the NYC Pride Parades. “These three couples getting married, with tens of thousands of their “chosen family” of witnesses is beautiful,” Bobby said of the special event in an interview with Out magazine.

Taylor Swift shared a message of love and unity at her show

At her sold-out Chicago stop of the Reputation Word Tour, the popstar gave a speech dedicated to the LGBTQ community showing support and encouragement on June 2. “This month and every month, I want to send my love and respect to everybody who has been brave enough to be honest about how they feel, to live their lives as they are, as they feel they should be, as they identify,” Taylor shared with joy. You can check out the full speech in the video below.

Tipsy Elves created a line for Pride supporting The Trevor Project

In honor of Pride month, holiday-themed apparel company, Tipsy Elves, designed a line of apparel just for the occasion that donated 10% of all Pride sales during the month of June to The Trevor Project. The Trevor Project is the leading national organization dedicated to ending suicide among LGBTQ, providing crisis intervention services, a safe social networking community, suicide prevention educational trainings and advocacy initiatives for both youth and adults.

To continue the pride celebration all year long, you can check out the rest of this fun line for an incredible cause from Tipsy Elves.
