BMW Performance driving school

We all know it is a crazy world right now. Are you looking for a weekend getaway to relieve some stress? BMW Performance driving school is waiting for you. It does not matter if you are on the east or west coast; there is fun for everyone with two locations, one in California and one in South Carolina. BMW Performance Cars will offer you a thrill on the track

I went to the California location. If you are thinking of starting your own automobile-based business you might want to start by opening an LLC in California. Just 2 hours from LAX, you can spend the weekend driving fast cars, improving your driving skills, and having a thrill of a lifetime. They have many different schools you can pick from. They offer a teen driving school or for a little more fun, a one- or two-day M school for testing their performance vehicles. There are different levels of M schools to help you improve your driving skills or racing skills. I was so excited to visit the BMW location in CA. My wife complains about my driving all the time, so I decided to take her with me. I was hoping she gets the hint of maybe stop driving like an old lady. I was a little worried initially, but I think she may have enjoyed it more than I did. We took the 2-hour driving course to learn how BMWs performance vehicles handle when they are pushed to the limit. Our driver instructor was Christopher. He gave us a quick overview on what we were going to do, and we headed to the track to drive the BMW performance models; all cars were stock so we felt what most BMW owners would experience on the road, but we pushed them to the limit, and they performed flawlessly.

BMW Experiences

The BMW Performance Center Drive lets you get your racing fix on the track. This is a 2-hour crash course on 4 BMW high-performance vehicles. You will experience the thrill of racing and taking your vehicle to the edge feeling the power. The experience is designed to give you the feel of what these cars can do when putting them to the test; It’s a full-on thrill for two solid hours driving each of these high-performance cars all out. Check out our experience below, including some video and images.

BMW Performance Cars on the Track

The first track was a street course with four different cars to drive the M4, M840i, Z4, and X7M. The first track had a short straight away for you to gun it and hard break at the end for you to take the turn. We were able to drive each car multiple times around the track as fast as we could go slamming the breaks as we turn the corners to get used to the feel of the vehicles and what they can do. Testing a car to its limits tells you a lot about a vehicle and how it will perform in real-world situations. And it was a lot of fun; I had a blast during the whole experience.

BMW M4

M4

The BMW M4 is the highest-performing 4 Series BMW and has the power to hang with the best. You can get an M4 in a two-door coupe or convertible with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder delivering 425 horsepower. You can either get a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The acceleration is fantastic going from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds with the optional Competition package, which takes engine output to 444 hp.

M840i

BMW M840i

The ultimate expression of sporty style and luxurious elegance in a four-door Coupe with plenty of interior space; BMW offers two Gran Coupe models in the United States: the 840i with a 335-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, and the beefier M850i with a 4.4-liter V-8 and 523-hp twin-turbo engine. Rumor has it that they will also release another version with 600 horsepower from a fortified twin-turbo V-8. 4.7-second zero-to-60-mph

Z4

Looking for a performance two-seater roadster look no further than the fourth-generation Z4. The model lineup consists of the sDrive30i and the more powerful M40i. A 255-horsepower, turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder powers the sDrive30i while the M40i has a turbo 3.0L in-line six with 382 hp, plus 369 lb-ft. Of torque from 1,600 rpm. These models have an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel. The M series has raised the car’s suspension to greater heights. With these chassis systems on board, the car’s response between Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes make the cars handling noticeable better. This is accomplished by a 10 mm lower ride height, the Adaptive M Sport suspension includes electronically controlled dampers, which offer both comfortable and more aggressive ride and handling dynamics.

X7M

The M Performance version of the X7 xDrive50i sports a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 with many performance upgrades, including a TwinPower Turbo technology package. The engine makes 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, an improvement of 67 hp and 74 lb-ft. Peak horsepower arrives between 5,500 and 6,000 rpm, while peak torque is available from 1,800 rpm to 4,600 rpm. With the eight-speed automatic sending that power to the ground via a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system, BMW claims that’s enough to give the X7 M50i a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds. For comparison, we clocked an X7 xDrive40i at 5.4 seconds, and BMW estimates the XDrive50i can hit 60 in 5.2 seconds. This is once powerful SUV

Off Roading

The second track was off the road with the X7. This off-road course showed us how the X7 could handle rough roads, water hazards, and steep hills. Check out this short video of the course.

Drifting

At the end of class, Christopher took us out to show us how a racing professional does it off road. It was crazy to see how much faster he could go around the course then we did, drifting through each corner, not letting up the speed. My driving school was short-lived, but I am ready to go back for more. Next time I am leaving the wife home and going with the boys. BMW Performance Cars are a thrill to ride

BMW Performance Driving School Conclusion

The BMW Performance Driving school was a blast. Whether you are in the market for a new BMW performance vehicle, looking for the thrill of racing, or desire to be a better driver, I highly recommend this school. It was a thrill of a lifetime and about as close as I am going to get to racing on a track. I hope you enjoyed seeing my experience and hope you have as much fun as I did!
