Everyone knows that New Years Eve a time of celebration. We are celebrating a successful year’s past and we are celebrating an even more successful year to come. Because this is a celebration, it is only natural that we would want to have a drink or 2 right? Well, I certainly believe that is the case. Since we are only have a drink or 2, wink – wink, we want to make sure we get the most enjoyment and flavor out of it, so no light beers, or plastic bottle liquors, we want quality beer, wine, and liquor, and if we are going to move up to liquor, we might as well make some delicious cocktails, so I have gone through this exercise here to pick my top cocktails and placed them right here for you.

Sparkling Cognac
- ¾ parts Courvoisier® V.S.O.P Cognac
- 2 dashes Angostura® bitters
- 1 sugar cube
- Champagne
- Lemon peel for garnish
Method: Soak sugar cube in bitters, drop into glass and add cognac. Top with Champagne and garnish with a lemon peel (optional).
Holly Jolly Punch
- 2 parts Pinnacle® Original Vodka
- 1 part DeKupyer® Triple Sec
- 3 parts cranberry juice
- 6 parts ginger ale
- 2 parts orange juice
- Cinnamon allspice
- Nutmeg
- Sugar
- Sliced oranges
Preparation: Add ingredients to a punch bowl and stir. Slowly stir in orange juice concentrate as it melts. Add spices to taste, and garnish with orange slices.
Snowflake Chiller
- 2 parts Pinnacle® Original Vodka
- 2 parts heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons melted white chocolate
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- ¼ teaspoon coconut extract
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- Shredded coconut or granulated sugar crystal
Preparation: Rim edges of glasses by dipping in melted white chocolate and then in either coconut flakes or sugar crystals. Combine vodka, heavy cream and extracts. Shake and strain into the glass.
Tip: The white chocolate and sugar rim gives this cocktail a touch of sweetness, but if you like your cocktails on the sweeter side, add a bit of simple syrup to taste.
Cinnamon Tequila Toddy
- 1 ½ parts Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
- 5 parts hot water
- ¾ part cinnamon bark syrup
- ¼ part honey
- ¼ part fresh lemon juice
- 3 dashes vanilla bitters
- Cinnamon sticks
Preparation: Combine equal parts sugar and water and 3 cinnamon sticks in a saucepan and bring to a boil to create cinnamon bark syrup. Remove cinnamon sticks from the mixture and combine the remainder of the ingredients in a coffee glass. Stir and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Wake Up Call
- 1 part Hornitos®Black Barrel® Tequila
- 4 parts hot coffee
- ½ part simple syrup
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a coffee glass and stir. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Maple Old Fashioned
- 2 parts Hornitos® Black Barrel® Tequila
- ¼ part maple syrup
- 4 dashes Angostura® bitters
- Orange peel
- Cinnamon stick for garnish
Preparation: Combine ingredients in a mixing glass and stir. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with an orange peel and a cinnamon stick.
Spicy Verde
- 2 parts Hornitos® Reposado Tequila
- ½ part fresh lime juice
- 3 parts fresh pineapple juice
- 2 dashes green habanero hot sauce
- Lime wedge for garnish
Preparation: Combine ingredients shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Ballermaker
- 1 ½ parts Courvoisier® V.S.O.P Cognac
- 4 parts champagne brute or extra dry
- Orange for garnish
Method: Pour cognac in a glass, add ice and top with champagne. Garnish with an orange swap
Midnight’s Kiss
- 1 part Pinnacle® Original Vodka
- 2 parts champagne
- Rock Candy Stick for garnish
Preparation: Pour vodka into a champagne flute and then top with champagne. Garnish with a rock candy stick.
Slow Cooker Caramel Apple Cider
- 8 parts Pinnacle® Original Vodka
- 7 cups apple cider
- 8 parts caramel syrup
- 2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- Apples for garnish
Preparation: Combine ingredients in slow cooker and cook on low for 3 hours. Garnish with sliced apples and a drizzle of caramel. Add lots of apple slices floating in your slow cooker for visual presentation and extra flavor.
