Popping the Question

Before you can officially ask them for their hand in marriage, you want to have a special location in mind for the proposal. The place where you first met might serve as a wonderful backdrop for your proposal. Now it’s time to find the perfect ring that matches their unique style. It’s in your best interest to go to several credible jewelers. For example, San Diego engagement rings can be easy to find if you know where to look. Quality is essential since they will wear the ring for the rest of their lives. Pricing is important, too, especially if you are on a budget.

Finding the Venue

After you pop the question and she says yes, it’s time to start planning for your special day. One of the first things to decide on is how large the wedding will be and then where to have the reception. If you and your fiancé will pay for the wedding alone, the costs can add up quickly. Putting the wedding off for a year or two will allow you to have a larger wedding and invite all of your relatives and close friends. It’s also important to keep in mind that popular venues for a wedding reception often fill up quickly, and some may already have the facility full for a year or so.

The Dress

While you won’t need a year to find the dress, it can take a bit of time to find the perfect one. With your wedding at least a year out, you have the luxury of selecting a glamorous dress, even outside your budget, with the option of making payments.

A Wedding Planner

You and your soon-to-be-bride work full time and have no clue as to what you need to do in order to pull off a wedding day that everyone will remember. Luckily, there are people who specialize in doing just that: making your wedding a memorable event. A wedding planner has many connections and can play a vital role in putting the entire day together, perfectly. There are so many things to get into places such as the caterer, the florist, the photographer, and the music. With this part of your shoulders, you can work hard and look forward to your special day.

The Honeymoon

Booking a vacation ahead of time (at least a few months in advance) will save you money and prevent last-minute bookings that may prove unattainable. Decide where the two of you want to go. Maybe you want to travel to England, the Caribbean, or experience the beauty and wonder of the Greek Island of Crete. One of the best benefits of taking care of your honeymoon ahead of time is that you won’t have the expense at the wedding.

Deciding Where to Live When You Return

If you and your fiancé currently have two separate apartments, you’ll need to decide ahead of time where you will live after you marry. Is one apartment larger and in a better location, or do you want to start fresh in a new place? Depending on your savings, you may want to consider buying your first home. This way, when you return from your honeymoon, you’ll have a place that’s all your own.

Finding someone that makes the world seem right is a gift and something you should cherish. Now that you have that special person make the wedding and the honeymoon something you’ll both reflect on fondly.
